“The Rhythms of Life”
with Andrew Mournehis
28thAugust – 9th September 2004
On this Fourth Bali Retreat we explored the “Rhythms of Life”, through the ancient arts of Yoga and Dance. Through daily morning Yoga practice, Vinyasa Flow and evening workshops, we covered how to tap into our own body’s bio rhythms connecting with our energy centres (chakras), enhancing creativity, sexuality, intuition, personal power and hidden unmanifest potential!!! We looked at how to tap into our natural daily, weekly, monthly, lunar and seasonal rhythms. Tucked away in the unspoiled and uninterrupted peace of the mountains of Ubud, provided the perfect opportunity to indulge and rejoice in the pleasure and majesty that Bali has to offer….
Retreat Schedule:
- Day 1 Arrival to Bali and settling in.
Welcome dinner provided in the evening.
- Days 2- 12 Meditation and Yoga sessions were held each morning b/w 6.30-8.30am.
In the afternoons (5 30- 730 pm) everyone enjoyed optional activities, Yoga Dance classes, Creativity Workshops, Restorative Asana Practice, Pranayama and Yoga Nidra, aimed at opening and stimulating the chakra system and the energy body, enhancing creativity, intuition and personal power…a time for self-discovery, reflection, introspection and fun.
- Day 9 “Day of Rest”…A time to simply BE
- Day 13 Final morning yoga session. This final day was a consolidation of practice, with discussion and sharing of experiences before departing late that evening.
From Day 2 – Day 13, the days were themed, focusing on the different rhythms of life, dance, creative pursuits and modalities for expressing creativity. We looked at ways to enhance personal strengths, accept and work on weaknesses and unleash hidden potentials. The retreat aimed to provide a greater understanding of yourself and provide you with tools to live life creatively, expressively and powerfully!
